Jo-Jo is not a man who only does his job; he does the job that needs to be done.
When Jo-Jo is scheduled for any surgery at the hospital, He would observe the surgeon, understand how they work, and what they would need.
So when the surgeon asks for a particular instrument during surgery, Jo-Jo would not just give them what they asked for.
He would gently recommend the tools he thought they needed.
This made the senior surgeons more relaxed in the operating rooms, knowing someone competent and with a complementary perspective was assisting them.
The training surgeons and residents were grateful to have him around, and felt more confident and reassured around him.
Both seniors, colleagues and juniors all came to Jo-Jo for his advice or
perspective on surgeries.
With time, all the top surgeons began to lobby and squabble to make sure he was scheduled to be in the operating room for their surgeries.
There’s a Jo-Jo in all of us.

Don’t just be the person who gets the job done. Be the person who sees what needs to be done even when others don’t, and takes the needed steps every time, without making the people around you feel small or incompetent.
Practice being an anchor, someone people trust.
Know your craft so well that you hold weight and relevance that is impossible to ignore.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to be the strongest.
But you can be the person who listens.
The person who takes ownership of solutions.
The person who delivers ‘the goods’.
