Lessons From a Storm, A hook and a Fishing Boat

In the movie Forrest Gump, one of his fellow soldiers whom he served with in the war became a very close friend. They became business partners. They went into the fishing business, into the crayfish business, to be precise.

While they were out at sea, there was a huge storm. The storm tossed their boats fiercely, making them scared they would not only lose their way, but also their equipment.

When the storm calmed down, crayfish had floated to the top! They had so much; there were not enough nets to carry them. The storm became a hook for the fishing boat.

Many times, we dream, set out to pursue those dreams and when life happens, we sometimes feel like we are losing our way.

In the darkest moments, there is often a ‘hook ’, a magnet that can bring your dreams closer than you could have thought possible.

A pregnant woman’s contractions increase and become stronger, more intense when closer to delivery.

Could it be that the hottest fire brings out the best in gold?

Maybe you’re in the middle of a storm.

It could be your hook.

Stay alert.

Stay hopeful.

Keep your nets close.

A storm may be here today, but a harvest of crayfish will be here tomorrow.

Rooting for you always!
